Our Doctor
Sania Wilkins, DO, FAAP
Dr. Sania is a board-certified pediatrician who has been working in the field of general pediatrics for over 20 years.
She received her undergraduate degree, a BS in Biological Sciences, at Binghamton University in 1994, and went on to obtain her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine at the New York College of Osteopathic Medicine (NYCOM) in 1998. She completed her residency and chief residency in Pediatrics at North Shore University Hospital in Manhasset, NY, before the merger into the current Cohen Children's Medical Center.
Dr. Sania had been practicing in her office at Port Pediatrics in Port Washington, NY, for over 20 years before this pivot into the Behavioral/Autism space. During this time period in her practice, she was trained within the NY State Project TEACH program(Mental Health Training for Primary Care Providers).
More recently, Dr Sania has been trained in Autism evaluation (specifically TELE-ASD, CARS-2, and ADOS-2). She has always been interested in advocating for children and their families at ANY level, but this is where her passion lies.
Not only does she work with families and their children as a pediatrician, but she herself has children (said Avengers under her picture) with special needs and Autism (and has been through many of the trials and tribulations that families will and have gone through), which makes this platform something very close to her heart. She is excited to Get You!
